The path from Rozhen village to Melnik is about 5-6 km long. In the part around Melnik it goes by the bed of a dried river. It takes about 1.5 – 3 hours in one direction. The most beautiful part is the panoramic area nearby the monastery. If you have parked your car by the monastery, you can take the 40-minute walk to the amazing views and go back, without walking the whole path to Melnik.
